Terms of Use

Review before launch
These terms govern use of the website only. They are not a construction contract and they are not legal advice. Have them reviewed by a lawyer, and insert the operating entity’s legal name, before launch.
Acceptance
By using calgarycarpentry.ca you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this website is
This site provides information about Calgary Carpentry’s carpentry and millwork services, together with general guidance about carpentry, materials and planning. It is an information and enquiry service.
Guidance is general, not a specification
The dimensions, cost factors, material comparisons and technical explanations published here are general guidance based on common practice. They are not a specification for your property, and they do not replace assessment of your actual building.
In particular: appliance clearances, permit requirements, structural matters and building code provisions are determined by the applicable manufacturer instructions, your municipality and qualified professionals — not by anything written on this website. Always verify against the current requirements that apply to your project.
No contract is formed by this website
Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract and does not oblige either party to anything. Any work is governed by a separate written quotation and agreement signed by both parties. Where those documents conflict with anything on this website, the signed documents prevail.
Prices and availability
No prices are published on this site. Any figure discussed in general terms is illustrative only. Only a written quotation issued to you after a site measure constitutes a price, and it is valid for the period stated on it.
Intellectual property
The text, design, photography and code on this site belong to Calgary Carpentry unless otherwise indicated. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. Republishing substantial portions of the written content elsewhere without permission is not permitted.
External links
Where we link to external sites — municipal authorities, manufacturers or standards bodies — we do so because the information is relevant. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, Calgary Carpentry is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general guidance published here, or from any interruption or error in the website itself. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
